In early 2010, Hillcrest Christian Fellowship along with our neighbors launched the Garden
Gate Group (G3). Phase one- seven raised garden beds- were built during the
second week of March. A shed was built in May and our intial crops were planted!
The Garden Gate
Group has three goals:
a
-Grow- We want to partner with our neighbors to grow healthy, nutritious
food while at the time productively engaging our bodies in a healthy way.
-Give- Out of the abundance of our harvest, we will provide both for
our own food needs and those of our neighbors in need through working with local food banks and other distribution avenues
-Gather- We hope the garden will become
a gathering place where we can work alongside, get to know, and share with our neighbors.
