Current Projects
Spring 2012: Announcing our new crafting opportunity, the Guatemala Potholder Project. In June, working in conjunction with the Guatemala Stove Project, we will deliver 180 potholders to go with the 90 ventilated stoves to be installed in poor Mayan homes in the Guatemala Hill Country. The project description gives free patterns and tutorials to sew, knit, and crochet and explains how to participate.
February 2012: Because the need for soft toys for local foster children continues year-round, we are pleased to announce our first ongoing project, Softies for Foster Kids. Feel free to send those softies in at any point during the year. See the project description for how to participate and for free softie patterns and tutorials.
Past Projects
January 2012: We’ve finished up our Autumn 2011 Cuddlies for Foster Kids project. We are pleased to have delivered over 200 handcrafted scarves and softies for distributing to foster children in Washington State’s Skagit and Island Counties.
